Hicham grew up in bustling Casablanca before leaving Morocco to pursue his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. He then joined Google where he spent four years in Product and Sales Marketing before moving to Boston to complete his MBA at Harvard. His passion for drumming is equaled only by his love of Moroccan mint tea.
ghassan rachid
Ghassan grew up in Rabat and has explored every corner of Morocco along with over 60 countries. He received his master's from Mines Paris and then worked at Morgan Stanley and McKinsey & Co. He went on to pursue his MBA at Harvard as a Fulbright scholar. A consummate nerd and cinephile, Ghassan enjoys solving puzzles and is a big fan of auteur films
tucker j dearth
Tucker grew up in Alabama with a love for travel since a young age. He received his MBA at IESE in Spain and then worked at Morgan Stanley in London. Tucker has since held CFO roles and led fundraisings totalling more than $100m in equity and venture debt as well as private company exits. A traveller to over 70 countries, Tucker is always seeking out the most exotic destinations.
maryama El adama
Maryama stepped up to the GM role after leading EM’s Business Development efforts for four years. She started her hospitality career at Kerzner before joining Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Combining her love for travel and her unique experience in the luxury hospitality industry, she oversees all departments and operations at EM. Her main goal is to ensure each EM guest is leaving Morocco with unforgettable memories.
Alberto Buzzanca
Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, Alberto received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in management from Università Cattolica in Milan. He started his career at Accenture and then worked at J.P. Morgan in Milan and New York, before obtaining his MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau. Addicted to the sea, on his time off, you will likely find Alberto windsurfing in his native Gulf of Mondello.
Ihab el Alami
Ihab grew up in Morocco and graduated from Ecoles des Mines de Nancy in France.He started his career in Silicon Valley as an IT consultant before discovering his passion for product management. He has worked in several American and French technology startups designing their products.Ihab is an avid tennis player, as well as a classical and arabic music fan.
Juan Gonzalez Muñoz-Yusta
Juan was born in Madrid but raised in Southern Brazil, London, and Dubai before relocating to the USA to complete his bachelor's degree in International Business. He then joined Mercedes-Benz in the Middle East as a Business Development Executive before returning to Spain to work in Investment Banking at BBVA and pursue his MBA at IESE Business School. He loves to play tennis but his affection for a seaside paella in Ibiza is equally profound.
melvin mapetla
Melvin's career, deeply rooted in East Africa where he was born and raised, began in the travel industry in Uganda. He then moved to Andela overseeing travel in East Africa and Egypt. At Sama he led a significant AI project for one of the world's biggest autonomous vehicle companies. With a background in Physics and an MBA from Edinburgh Napier University, he's as comfortable with formulas as he is with travel itineraries. In his downtime, he is a self-described non-cooking foodie and a passionate traveler, always seeking new cultural adventures.
Giulia, Italian by birth, is a country-hopping citizen and an accomplished travel professional. Her career flourished in London, working for online travel companies like Voyage Privé and Expedia Group. She managed hotel portfolios and advised on pricing and revenue strategies. Her expertise lies in enhancing financial outcomes and client relationships. With an academic background in tourism, Giulia recently completed her MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona. Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, she loves exploring local cuisines, engaging in outdoor activities, skiing and playing padel.
